Farm stands, farmers’ markets and other direct to customer marketing methods have always relied on “Word of Mouth” marketing to get most of their customers. Now customers are communicating in a variety of ways including digitally and farmers need to be sure their customers can find them easily in the digital universe. 90% of Americans have cell phones and 60% have smartphones. 70% of people use their smartphone as a store locator. Can they find your farm or farmers’ market? What are customers posting about their farm experience at your farm or farmers’ market? Come and find out how you can make your farm stand, farmers’ market or other direct to customer market site more visible to the digital technology. Bring your mobile device if you have one.
