Would You Like to Teach? Spring 2020

posted on November 19, 2019

We are now accepting course proposals for our Spring 2020 semester!

Do you have a special talent or hobby you’d love to share? Earn a little extra money by teaching your skills to others. The only qualification to teach an enrichment course with PVAEC is a willingness to share your talents with others. Popular enrichment course topics include (but aren’t limited to): Arts & Crafts, Photography, Cooking, Gardening, Literature, Fitness & Dance, DIY Homesteading, Music and so much more! The possibilities are endless. If you’re considering a topic you’re not sure about, contact us! We’d love to discuss it with you.

Please schedule your classes to begin no earlier than February 24, 2020. Daytime classes can be offered Monday-Thursday  at PHEC in Dover, and evening classes can be run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Dexter, Dover, Guilford and Milo. Please keep in mind that “one session” courses are trending, and people are losing interest in committing to 8-week courses. This doesn’t mean that we won’t be offering 8-week programs, but if possible, please consider shortening the length of your course. If your proposed course(s) fall outside of our suggested schedule, we will certainly see what we can do to accommodate your needs. We reserve the right to adjust your proposed course schedules as we see fit, but will always notify you if we do. We also reserve the right to edit your course descriptions for space, grammar and content.

Super Saturday
On Saturday, April 11, we will be hosting Super Saturday at PHEC in Dover! Please consider joining us for this fun, one-day event. Super-Saturday is a day-long event where folks can drop in and sign up for workshops and classes throughout the day. You can host a one or two hour workshop in your craft or skill. This will give potential students an inexpensive “taste” of what we have to offer at PVAEC, and hopefully turn them into repeat customers in Fall 2020! If you would like to be included in Super Saturday, simply fill out an extra course proposal form, and include “Super Saturday” in your title. If you ONLY want to teach a Super Saturday course this spring, that is fine as well.  Feel free to contact us for more information.  You will be compensated for your time and we really hope you’ll consider participating!

For help with your course proposals, questions, comments or concerns, email hroberts@pvaec.org or call us at 207-564-6525.

Course proposals are due by Friday, December 20, 2020.
