PVAEC Holds CNA Orientation

PVAEC's next CNA class will start Monday, March 29, 2010. On Tuesday, March 2, 2010 PVAEC held the CNA Orientation. All those interested in taking a CNA class attended this orientation to take the assessment test and complete the enrollment paperwork. 10 students were chosen for the March 29th class. Our next CNA class is scheduled for August, 2010. Call 564-6525 for more information.

PVAEC's WorkReady class is in full swing

PVAEC's students in our current WorkReady session are being trained in job interview skills this week. They began this session learning computer skills, taught by PCs for ME. Each student is improving their employability by taking this free course. The certificate they will earn is a statewide credential endorsed by business, employers and Maine Department of Education, in partnership with EMDC.

PVAEC CNA Pinning Ceremony

Piscataquis Valley Adult Education Cooperative is proud to present its latest CNA graduates. On January 19^th, two CNA classes participated in their pinning ceremony. A good group of family and friends attended to celebrate this milestone. To earn a CNA license and receive their pin, each student must successfully complete 200 hours of instruction, including clinical experience, and pass the state exam. Dexter Learning Center moves to new location

PVAEC - Piscataquis Valley Adult Education Coopertive - is pleased to announce the opening of our new Learning Center in Dexter. Through the cooperation of the Town of Dexter, Totally Teens, the Rec Department, Maintenance and TCTC, and with the help of many volunteers, we have located our Learning Center in the old town hall building, across from the Library. From the lights at Spring and Main Streets, turn to go up the hill with the Library on your left and the Post Office on your right. Take your first left, and the Old Town Hall is the next building beyond the library on the left.
