Graduation at PVAEC

Graduates on StagePVAEC held its graduation ceremony on June 5, 2013 at the Center Theatre in Dover-Foxcroft.

The Keynote Speaker was Tony Hamlin, teacher and coach at PVHS and a NE Basketball Hall of Famer.  Tony had stories to share that demonstrate the fact that it is never too late to get your education.  In congratulating the students, he encouraged them to continue to pursue further education.

Special recognition was awarded to Paul Stearns, Superintendent of RSU 80.  Paul was one of the "Founding Fathers" of our Adult Ed Cooperative and was given a certificate thanking him for his support and encouragement of adult education.

Our CNA instructors Sue Duplisea, RN, and Nancy Hoskins, RN, awarded the CNA pins to our latest CNA class.  It was announced during graduation that the entire class had just passed their State Exam!  Congratulations were given to all.

Eve Salley, Diploma Instructor, and Brenda Clawson, GED Examiner, awarded PVAEC Honor Cords to the members of the PVAEC Honor Society.  These students each earned a combined GED Score over 2850.

Thelma Regan and Paul Stearns awarded the High School Diplomas and General Equivalency Diplomas to the students.

And with the turning of the tassels the class of 2013 was graduated!
